2008 was so great. pickled onions on a plate.

in 2008, so many lalas were found, and so many still hidden. love is mystery, yes?

Found it underneath the writer's room door at central library. Snowshoes and a trail of chocolate.

But I am very, very taken - by my wife. And older than Ronald Reagan.

found outside my pinkish apartment (above the Paradox) slid inside my door buzzer. Then I caught crowded 15 morning bus, with the valentine in my shirt pocket close to my heart, wondering if I really had a stocker.

Almost threw you out (to my eternal shame) when I saw you cascading out of the bread bag from Limbo. My thoughts turned to my two little girls stuffing things into places they don't belong because they like the feeling of stuffing things into small places. A tissue flew at me tonight from the furnace vent. Why? Because it fit. But my girls are too young to have talent with sealing wax. I'm looking for a job for you, but first I have to play some Pogo. Thanks, Valentine.

Found tucked in a fire hose outlet, on the facade of the wonder ballroom.

"valentine, sweet love affair maybe you are snowshoeing? I will follow the tracks and eat chocolate in your chair."

I have been snowshoeing
spent days outdoors singlely in the woods
watching the fox, mice, goose and hare tracks
blow away in the wind on the snow.

i think of the first time the words
i love you
were whispered in my ear
i was high in a lifeguards chair
on a beach- closed for the season
the wind was whipping sand up
to tap me on the knees.

i left the house today walking eating chocolate and thinking of the new spring wondering what it would change. i found your valentine.

even though i am sure you did not write it to me, i am sure you wrote it for me.

thank you for that.

Kittie
